The Catcher is a tale filled with suspense and excitement of a young man’s journey in a land not his own. The setting is the Arizona border region where the young lovers Teyo and Clarita arrive and are poised to cross into America and start their new life together. As the story unfolds Teyo or ‘Pepino’ as he is fondly re-named, finds himself on the run in a one day adventure challenged by a gauntlet of events, coincidences and perils that leave you on the edge of your seat. Will he make it back to safety or be ensnared by the vaunted Border patrol that are amongst the many elements he must elude as he crosses paths with the most unlikely series of strangers who help or hurt him along the way to his destiny.
