Greetings friends,

I hope all are well this Saturday morning, wherever you call home. I myself am doing fine, other than some pre-cold or flu symtoms I've been feeling this past week. They say this flu season will be a servere one, but lets hope not.

It was one year ago this week that I actually came down with the flu in Madison, Wisconsin, while on my adventure. You can't tell by the picture above that I was already feeling the same symtoms as I am today, but by the time I arrived in Minnesota, four days later, I was in a bad way! Especially since I didn't have the luxuary of just staying home and recovering. My Minnesota gig actually took me to Kansas City to liquidate furniture in a downtown hotel, and I was miserable. Ah the memories of my journey all come back to me with such vivid fondness!

I also finally brought some running shoes, and began hitting the pavement, in an effort to lose some extra pounds, since dieting has had only minimal results. I suppose donuts and chips have something to do with that! Seriously, I want to be in better shape in 2018 and beyond, since I still harbor hopes of traveling the country again, this time on my book tour. So I want to be as fit as I can be for that upcoming stage in my life, but for now, every part of my body aches! It will take a few weeks for me to get into running shape, but once I do, I'm sure those extra pounds will be gone for good.

I continue to write my second edtion, mostly from memory, since I lost one of my most important journal somewhere in Idaho, or Washington last January. It was a painful and tragic loss, which I still lament to this day. Nine months and and forty-five states worth of documentation gone forever! It was a good thing I posted all my stops on this website, cuz I use it now to reference my writings. The only bad thing is, as you diary writers know, it contained alot of my personal thoughts and feelings of the moments, places, and people I was dealing with at the time. Those emotions and thoughts are hard to recreate or relive, but I have no choice but to jar my memory; so far it's working okay I guess.

Well friends, so long until next week. Be safe and warm as you go along your last week of shopping, and traveling. Thanks for checking in with me, and for your loyal support in this continuous journey.

Hello friends!

Greetings from my office on the west side of Tucson, Arizona. I hope you are having a good week, whether at home or work. I myself am doing great, and my faithful, spoiled brat Kalani is doing just fine too.

Yes it does rain here at times, and yesterday the good Lord saw it fit to let the drops fall on our desert city. It's only the second time since August that any measurable moisture has fallen, and as for me, I was happy to see the desert plants, animals and humans get some relief! If you haven't visited, or spent any long period of time in the southwestern deserts, then you can't fathom the feeling of seeing water fall from the sky for the first time in months. I remember last January  when I was in Seattle and Portland on my tour, and it rained almost everyday of my 16 days there. That was the other extreme; I don't know which I prefer.

Now I'm settled in my routine, working, working-out, and writing, hence the three W's. I continue to run my business, and aside from the fact that like most of us, I need to work to survive, I'm finding more and more difficult to stay motivated. What I really want to do is stay behind this desk and write all day long, as I listen to my favorite tunes! If you have a job you can barley stand, and wish you were doing something you really love, then we understand each other completely. I don't hate what I do, but it has run it's course, and I much rather be hitting the key board for a living. I gave myself ten years to become a successful writer in 2013, and I'm almost half way to my goal, but I'm getting a bit impatient I suppose.

I enjoy working-out, and have been a regular remeber at the local gyms for 25 years now. I've been in better shape, but that was when I was younger, and more concerned about my appearance. The problem is I also like to eat good, but not always healthy meals, so that presents a dilemma. All the work I do at the gym, sometimes just is offset by my desire to eat terribly, like the BB-Q english ribs I made last night! I decided food is one of the greatest pleasures in life, and a washboard/sixpack stomach isn't worth giving up all those yummy donuts and cool ranch Dorito chips!

My ultimate goal in the near future is to get up each day with a cup of coffee, write, eat, work-out at the gym, eat lunch, write again, walk the doggie, write again, eat dinner, watch T.V., and fall asleep on the computer writing. Then start over again the next day! Notice I didn't include work? I have a few more book ideas on hold, after I complete this second gigs edition, so I could stay busy writing for a good long time. Those are my goals, what are yours?!

Take care, and thanks for checking in! Asta la otra amigos y amigas.

Hello friends,

Happy post turkey day greetings from me to you! I hope you had a great, and restful thanksgiving weekend, as I did.

I can't speak for anyone one else, but aside from all the hype and festivities that come with the holidays, I try to find something to be grateful for each and everyday I get to spend on this planet. Realizing that a tremendous amount of people near and far, struggle every day with all sorts of problems, and personal challenges on a daily basis. I fortunately am living the life i want to, and aside from the occsionl hickups that this imprefect world brings, I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

I didn't do much this weenkend, except clean the garage and orginize my tools. I watched some football and basketball, and probabaly ate too much like most of the country. I did however, rededicate myself to begin in earnest the next edition to my story. After struggling to find my motivation, I peeled myself off the sofa, with Kalani by my side, and started hitting the keys with a passion once again. I hope to sustain my efforts to complete the next twenty-five stories in a much faster time frame than the first book, so I decided to donate my reclinner to a charity, in an attempt to keep focused on the task!

I wish I had more news with the first book, other than it's in the hands of the proofreader and the cover is still being worked on as we speak. It can't happen fast enough at times, but I must continue to be patient with the process, and not worry toomuch about things I can't control. In the meantime, I hope you continue to remain interested and supportive, as you have been throughout this entire journey. Afterall, its you my friends and followers, that are the real motivation for me writing this story, and blog post. Songs without hearers, are silent poems, and words without readers, are like books that are never opened.

Until next week my faithful friends, may you have a great rest of the week, wherever you call home.
